Weddings are changing and I am all for it. The past few years of perfection and comparison has been intense. The world seems to be stepping away from unrealistic expectations. Returning to feeling, depth, analogue and simplicity. From smaller celebrations to multi day at home parties. Couples are planning Weddings and photography that suits them.

A Wedding Photographer of 14 years and over 300 Weddings. With over 2 decades of experience in the photography industry, from the NUSAD darkrooms, All Action agency, through to OK! Magazine picture desk. I’ve seen images created, laid out, styled and manipulated, what hits, what doesn’t.

I burnt out shooting what I thought people wanted to see from their Wedding photography. I lost confidence in my eye and forgot the glimmers. Now. I shoot what I see with empathy and insight, always coming back to the people and the feeling.

Shooting a Wedding is like nothing else, the fleeting speed of the day, emotion, responsibility in recording and attending. I’ve navigated huge shifts in the industry, Covid times, seen trends come and go. Throughout my belief remains strong – What really matters are your promises to each other, and how the day felt for you.

Our trip felt like a dream. Also swimming the crystal clear waters of Cala Nova and Our Skye road trip have been top memory makers – Next visits to Seville, Iceland and Japan.

Martin Parr, is a huge inspiration of mine, his vibrant, tongue in cheek, playful and ironic compositions, observations of human idiosyncrasies, vision of colour and approach to real life is something I look to in every Wedding.

HOW I SHOW UP

The most important thing is celebrating your love.

I believe your photography should feel like an extension of your reality, not staged.

My images are shot for longevity with emotional intelligence and kindness. I look for different stories within each wedding led by my own life experience.

The art of noticing, reading nuanced feelings, emotions, connections, unspoken cue’s, listening to all of your guests and families as well as yourselves. Alongside small details that make me smile (glimmers). I know these are the images that will mean more to you, and bring you back to the day, even after 20 years.

I don’t film myself at Weddings or use your Wedding as my content reel. My focus is being present, giving my whole attention to every happening.

I arrive with empathy to deliver non performative imagery with great care. Whatever your celebration looks like. And I love to travel throughout the UK (and world) to photograph Wedding days.
